Assignment Summary

Discuss how you will ensure you have the best recruitment policy and plan in place. You should identify internal procedural and external legal requirements and cover an example of one actual hire from need identification through to formal offer.

Upon completion of this CMI unit you will be able to:

  • Understand the impact of both the law and organisational procedures on the process of recruitment and selection
  • Be able to present a reasoned case for changes in staffing resources, identifying personnel requirements
  • Be able to conduct a selection process, justify a decision and keep necessary records
  • Be able to communicate the selection decisions
  • Be able to plan induction for the appointed candidate
