Continuous Improvement Definition

The term continuous improvement is derived from the Japanese management concept Kaizen (Japanese for change for the better, or improvement). It is a process of constantly introducing small incremental changes in a business in order to improve quality and/or efficiency. Continuous improvement is a whole business philosophy and requires commitment from everyone. If everyone in the business has a focus on improving what they do then the business as a whole will improve.
